Liverpool FC ambassador Gary McAllister will this week embark on a tour of Scandinavia, paying a visit to the Liverpool FC International Academies in Norway, Sweden and Denmark to take part in coaching sessions with local youngsters.

The week-long tour will see McAllister visit academies in Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen, meeting participants and offering his advice and expertise on how the young aspiring footballers could learn to play ‘The Liverpool Way’.

He said: “I am delighted to be visiting the LFC International Academies in Scandinavia to teach young Scandinavian players all about ‘The Liverpool Way’. LFC has a huge number of fans throughout Scandinavia and I am very much looking forward to meeting as many of them as possible throughout this visit."

Liverpool FC, in conjunction with official partner Sport Media, have been delivering a variety of coaching courses in Scandinavia for 13 years across Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

Throughout this partnership, over 30,000 young players in Scandinavia have been taught ‘The Liverpool Way’ by LFC coaches.

In 2016, LFC will have over 30 soccer schools available in Scandinavia for both boys and girls aged between six and 14 years-old, with goalkeeping options available.

At these courses, players will work on different technical aspects of the game, take part in skills challenges and play in small sided game tournaments.
