The club's official charity, the Liverpool FC Foundation, recently hosted a regional Premier League 4 Sport netball tournament in Liverpool.

The event took place at the Toxteth FireFit HUB on February 2, to fall in line with the international fixture between England Roses and New Zealand Silver Ferns at the Liverpool Echo Arena.

A number of teams from across the Premier League and Football League competed in the tournament, including Liverpool, Everton, Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion, who went on to beat Bolton Wanderers A in the final.

Winners for the second year in a row, West Brom were presented with their trophy at half-time of the international match at the Echo Arena, while each participant also received an individual medal from Liverpool Ladies duo Mollie Green and Kate Longhurst for taking part in the event.

Approximately 120 people attended the tournament before all competitors watched England's 61-37 defeat at the hands of New Zealand.

On the event, Andrea Cooper, head of the Liverpool FC Foundation, said: “It is fantastic for the LFC Foundation to be able to host the Premier League 4 Sport netball tournament for the second year running. This year was another brilliant event and the invite to watch England Roses live topped off a fantastic day for all involved.”
