Liverpool travel to The Hawthorns on Saturday seeking a victory over West Bromwich Albion that would consolidate their place in the top four of the Premier League.

However, while still sitting bottom of the division, West Brom head into the game on the back of a morale-boosting win over Manchester United last time out and have claimed a win and a draw from two visits to Anfield this season.

Ahead of Saturday's clash, here's how Reds have fared against West Brom in their last 10 meetings...

1. Reds' home run stopped by Baggies

Liverpool saw their 19-game unbeaten home run come to an end in this FA Cup fourth-round tie.

Roberto Firmino gave the Reds the lead with a delightful lob from the edge of the box but later struck the crossbar with a penalty awarded by VAR.

The video replay system also correctly ruled out an offside goal for West Brom before Reds defender Joel Matip clipped the ball into his own net for what turned out to be the decisive goal, despite Mohamed Salah's late strike.

2. Frustrated at Anfield

Despite mustering 14 shots and enjoying 70 per cent of the ball, Liverpool could not find a way through West Brom's resilient backline.

Substitute Dominic Solanke had a late goal disallowed, but the Baggies held firm to claim a point.

3. Firmino heads decisive goal

Firmino scored a vital winner as the Reds strengthened their bid for Champions League qualification with a hard-fought win.

The victory completed Liverpool's 17th league double over West Brom.

4. Super Sadio strikes for Reds

Sadio Mane scored and assisted for the second time in his four Premier League appearances at Anfield as Liverpool continued their fine early-season form.

The Reds would have gone top of the table with a two-goal win, but Gareth McAuley's late strike left the Reds behind leaders Arsenal on goal difference.

5. Ibe earns a point in last-day clash

Jürgen Klopp made wholesale changes for the final league game of the season with a Europa League final against Sevilla coming just three days later.

Jordon Ibe's excellent equaliser, which came in the 23rd minute, was the last shot on target from either side during the match.

6. Last-gasp Origi earns dramatic draw

Jordan Henderson finished off a flowing move to open the scoring at Anfield but the Reds looked doomed to defeat until Divock Origi struck deep into injury time, prompting Klopp to lead his players in publicly thanking the home fans after the game.

7. No way through

Steven Gerrard made his 500th league appearance for Liverpool but the skipper was unable to cajole his side to victory on this occasion.

Philippe Coutinho went close to opening the scoring against a stubborn West Brom and Ibe hit the woodwork, but the Reds had to settle for a point.

8. Lallana notches first Liverpool goal

Adam Lallana scored his debut goal for the club to set the Reds, before Henderson struck to secure the three points shortly after Saido Berahino had equalised from the penalty spot.

9. Reds held at The Hawthorns

Daniel Sturridge converted from a Luis Suarez cross to score as Liverpool's 'SAS' strike force combined once again.

Following on from a 4-0 demolition of Everton in their last outing, it looked like the Reds were well on their way to another victory.

However, Victor Anichebe scored an equaliser on 66 minutes as Pepe Mel's hosts claimed a draw.

10. Suarez stars at Anfield

Suarez and Sturridge partnership proved too good for West Brom on this occasion as the Uruguayan struck a scintillating hat-trick and the England international completed the rout with a wonderful late chip.
