Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is determined to sign Ousmane Dembele and will battle with Barcelona to sign the winger this summer, according to reports.

Dembele, 19, met with Klopp in Paris over a move to Anfield when he was a Rennes player but he informed the German that he was going to join Dortmund

The Frenchman’s thrived in the Bundesliga and has 14 assists to his name so far this term. The winger was also included in Didier Deschamps’ squad for Les Bleus’ World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Bulgaria.

Klopp, though, is determined to strengthen his squad and will go back in for Dembele this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The German is keen on signing at least two youngsters this summer with a view to developing them into stars of the future.

However, any move for Dembele is likely to be complicated given the interest in the Frenchman.

Spanish giants Barcelona are known admirers of the teenager, while Real Madrid are likely to keep a close eye on any deal.
