Liverpool are reportedly among the teams battling to secure the signature of Iker Casillas.

The Porto goalkeeper is out of contract this summer and appears to be considering his options with no deal agreed to keep him in Portugal.

Casillas, who played over 700 times for Real Madrid between 1999 and 2015, has allegedly been the subject of interest from around the continent.

Reports in AS claim that the Reds have held preliminary talks with Casillas' team.

Other interest is believed to have come from teams in China and Qatar, who could offer monumental wages, while teams in Turkey are also said to be considering a move.

But a move to Liverpool means that Champions League football is on offer, after the Reds secured their place in the top four on the final day of the season.
