Liverpool are one of several Premier League clubs set to raid Monaco this summer, according to reliable French newspaper L'Equipe.

Monaco won Ligue 1 and reached the Champions League semi-final with a youthful side this season.

Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva has already signed for Man City and star striker Kylian Mbappe is wanted by some of Europe's biggest clubs, including the Reds.

Today, L'Equipe report that Liverpool have expressed serious interest in left-back Benjamin Mendy, along with Man City and Chelsea.

They claim that the Reds are ready to make a big money offer for the 22-year-old defender, who has impressed with his strong and energetic displays down the left for Monaco.

As with pretty much all of Monaco's young stars, Liverpool will face stiff competition should they move for Mendy.

Jurgen Klopp's main left-back target is Ryan Sessegnon, who was recently linked with a move to Tottenham.
