Reds handed boost in pursuit of Lazio defender
Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij.
The Dutchman has been tipped to move to Anfield for some time with Barcelona, Inter and Arsenal also thought to be keen.
And Lazio have confirmed De Vrij will be available on a free transfer this summer after ending talks over a new deal.
Igli Tare, the club's sporting director, said: "It's a decision made after many months.
"There's a limit to everything. We will say goodbye at the end of the season."
